Congratulations to Laura Lloyd from Everything Branded for her continued hard work! She will be receiving £50 in high street vouchers.
I would like to nominate one of my apprentices, Laura Lloyd for April’s Apprentice of the Month.
Laura joined the Everything Branded Marketing Department back in November to take part in the Digital Marketer Level 3 course. Since then she has continually proven herself to be a valuable asset to the Marketing Department.
I have only been her line Manager for 3 months, as I only joined the company in February. However, in that short amount of time, Laura has shown such determination and initiative in her daily tasks and projects that I feel she is more than worthy of this nomination.
Not only does she complete work that is tasked to workers that are years her senior, but she willingly assists and offers advice to other members of the team to help them develop at the same rate.
Regarding her training, she goes from strength to strength with each module, recently achieving 100% in one of her examinations. This is a true testament to the hard work and natural skill she has for the role.
In addition to this, she participates in many internal Marketing events with other members of the company, competing in competitions and generating content for Social Media platforms. She then works with the team to edit and publish this content, actively contributing to the growth of the company as she learns.
She has taken on a fully-rounded role in the Marketing Department, covering data input for the website and the more creative content creation. All aspects, she has taken in her stride and I am sure Laura will continue to excel in her apprenticeship and further into her career.
We would also like to say a big thank you to everyone that nominated, please see below!
Matt has been working with Serco over the past 18 months producing some outstanding work and a high level of contribution to the business. He has been recommended on many occasions for his performance and more recently commended for his work;
“Matt has really helped me out recently with some issues around the Corporate tablets that we rolled out for the PECS Court Managers and I’ve been massively impressed with his knowledge and attitude and general willingness to help.
He has created a step by step simple to follow user guide for PECS to help users unenroll from Airwatch and enrol with Intune which has enabled our managers to self-help, and yesterday he investigated a training issue whereby managers are having problems completing the pre-required courses on their tablets in order to enrol on the People Management Course, offering suggestions on how to help. These are issues I have been struggling to get help with centrally in IT and Matt has stepped in and taken ownership. Nothing is ever too much trouble and he just gets on with things in a professional manner and delivers results.
He really is a star and one to keep hold of in my opinion as he has all the right attributes to deliver great service. “
Fantastic Work, Keep it up Matt!
Alex joined Mercurius IT at the beginning of March and has turned our one-man marketing band into a two-man operation. He has been a huge help since day 1 and has taken responsibility for social media management and copywriting within the business. Alex always puts 100% effort into everything he produces and it’s great to know I can hand him a task and get it back complete by the deadline with no chasing necessary. I can already notice Alex becoming more confident in his role and picking up new skills and knowledge. This week he completed his first course with Baltic Training and he thoroughly enjoyed engaging with the other learners and learning from Dan, as well as achieving the highest mark of the group in his mock test! Well done Alex, I have no doubt that you will make an excellent Digital Marketer.
Uzayr did an excellent job as an apprentice and made a valuable contribution to our team, Uzayr has developed major problem-solving skills and uses his initiative to provide workable solutions to the team, with his new knowledge from Baltic. I believe that Uzayr’s strengths and skills will prove an asset and he has my highest recommendation for winning this month. Obviously excellent problem solving and communication skills are absolutely vital for any apprentice. But I think good judgement is also really underrated. Even with all the right training, you need the experience to tell exactly what’s needed for a project – not to mention have the bravery to ask for help or go back to the drawing board when things aren’t working, Uzayr has gone above and beyond for this, and always striving to improve his skills. Uzayr has developed his skills and Baltic have been pivotal to this, they have provided the right training and development to enhance Uzayr’s skills, We have been impressed with how he has implemented his skills to the actual working environment. Uzayr needs to carry on with the same attitude and he is on the road to a successful journey to a successful career.
I would like to nominate Mark Smith for apprentice of the month due to his fantastic progress - he is completing his apprenticeship with Discovery Design.
Mark's ability to comprehend programming languages has been phenomenal. He has been with us for one and half months now and he has gained an excellent understanding of PHP, Laravel, Vue.js & jQuery. Mark is incredibly focused on becoming the best programmer he can be, and continually seeks clarification from the team to ensure that he fully understands what he is implementing. This is a fantastic trait because he is learning the methodology and reasoning behind his work, which is ultimately leading to his knowledge exceptionally growing. Armed with his knowledge after less than 2 months, Mark has embarked on creating real-world solutions with us.
Mark’s progress and commitment has confirmed choosing an apprenticeship with Baltic was the right decision.
