Congratulations to Ben Loxley from Aabyss for being named December's Apprentice of the Month! He will be receiving £50 in high street vouchers.

"

Ben has now been with the Aabyss team for six months; however, he is delivering services like a seasoned pro! Bens journey with Aabyss has been incredible, he has fitted into the team with ease and has a remarkable ability to add value in everything he gets involved with.

Ben has been great from the very first day at Aabyss! So much so, we have taken another apprentice on from Baltic (Keith Smith).

We have only seen Ben flourish over this time at Aabyss, we have received a vast amount of feedback from clients regarding Bens interactions and support.

Ben is hungry to learn and is always asking questions, you can see he has great passion for IT and learning new things.

Last week Ben has passed another Baltic exam (85%) and was also awarded learner of the week from Baltic training.

This experience has restored my faith regarding apprentice programs, Baltic and Ben have been a great for Aabyss.

We look forward to working with you in the future.

We would also like to say a big thank you to everyone that nominated, please see below!

ASHLEIGH HOLLAND FROM SANDICLIFFE MOTOR GROUP

Ashleigh has really integrated well into the business at Sandicliffe, she has brought her funny and upbeat personality into the office environment which has helped integrate her with the team. Ashleigh is always readily available whenever I require her to do work and is always keen to learn more. She is constantly taking notes of any important information that can be of benefit to her in the near future and aid her learning.

She has really developed with her HTML and Laravel / PHP knowledge and this is being shown in her work and the variety of tasks that she is now able to tackle on herself. She has been very punctual and always arrives on time and in a good mood and manner to address the working day. Our company has recently launched a new website and we ran into some SEO problems, which Ashleigh has helped myself tackle even though her role doesn't really require SEO knowledge she now has knowledge of this area and really took to SEO and learning little bits about it.

DEMI PARKES FROM SERCO

Demi has been recognised internally on a number of occasions for her commitment, drive and determination to do well, especially during our recent office move. This has in turn driven the service she delivers forward and allowed Demi’s peers to support her to work independently and complete tasks to a high standard.

Demi is constantly asking the right people the right questions and consistently succeeds in developing continuous service improvements by always being ahead of the game, understanding the business needs and developing her skills to benefit his team. Demi has the confidence in recognising her areas for development and is never too scared to address them, taking pride in giving an informative breakdown to justify her needs, which will allow her to develop to the highest standard in the future.

When Demi started her knowledge and understanding of the IT industry was limited and it’s been a pleasure watching her develop her skills to support our IT users so effectively. Her apprenticeship workload is being managed extremely well and she is well on track to a successful completion. Demi has been mentoring our new apprentices, showing them around the office, supporting on interview days and generally acting as an advocate for Serco apprenticeships. I am extremely proud of how far she has come and can’t wait to follow for her future in Serco.

Well Done Demi!

Since joining the Internal IT team at Partnerize in October last year Jeevan has firmly established himself as a dependable, well respected member of the department.

He has taken an independent, reliable approach to all the tasks he has been assigned including:

  • Taking ownership of all anti-virus alerts and ensuring they are dealt with in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Setting up and maintaining all meeting room space equipment across the entire office. This included creating a process documenting all tasks involved in the daily check of these spaces.
  • Contributing several documents that are now used in our user facing knowledge base.
  • Conducting an equipment audit which was complex task requiring a lot of attention to detail.

As well as Jeevan’s day-to-day work, he has also made time for his studies. In his spare time, including his own lunch break on occasion, Jeevan can usually be found at his desk working though practice exams or going through notes he has taken during a training session.

Jeevan has demonstrated a level of maturity and good humour well beyond his years and as a result is very highly thought of by everyone at Partnerize.

We firmly believe that for all the reasons above Jeevan deserves recognition as Apprentice of the Month.
