As part of National Apprenticeship Week, Baltic are celebrating the success of our amazing apprentices! We’re very excited to announce the winner of our much anticipated Apprentice of the Year competition.
After receiving a record number of nominations, we had a tough job creating a shortlist. But those who made the final five were all worthy of the award, and their nominations evidenced how they’ve made an impact on the companies they work for. They all deserve recognition for the fantastic work they’ve done during their apprenticeships; you can read their nominations in full here.
The public vote was a tense and close race, but we’re pleased to announce that we ended with a clear winner…
Charlotte has made a huge impression on her employer, rising through the ranks of their IT department and going above and beyond in her apprenticeship training. After joining the service desk as a Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Apprentice, Charlotte progressed on to a Level 4 IT Professional Apprenticeship that she completed with distinction. She now excels in her role as Senior Service Desk Analyst, where she is the line manager of a new apprentice.
Her manager Melissa Werry had fantastic things to say in her nomination, praising Charlotte for bringing call volumes down by organising and motivating the team. She also noted how Charlotte’s confidence has grown as she continues to work hard in all aspects of her role.
Charlotte also took part in a case study for Baltic, sharing her experience as a woman in the IT industry. She is a positive role model who is paving the way for the tech apprentices of the future.
Charlotte will receive a trophy, certificate, Baltic hoodie and £100 in Love2Shop vouchers. Not to mention the glory of being named Baltic's Apprentice of the Year for 2019. Congratulations!
